We see God pouring out His glory like honey over these mountain tops and are contending as a church for Chattanooga’s destiny in becoming a catalyst for revival in the entire southeast region of the US.

Revival is best expressed through family. Every family is wildly unique and expresses God’s Kingdom as they follow and serve Christ.

We regularly gather around the table for fellowship and breaking the bread. The table is a place of divine expression of the family of God.

The bible says Jesus was anointed with the oil of joy above his fellows. His spirit fills us with that joy and it brings this unshakable resilience to life..

In every house there is a main power line that feeds power to the whole house. The Bible says prayer produces power that is dynamic, and we believe prayer is pumping divine power into every area of the ministry.

We must serve one another. Every interaction has the potential for an encounter with his love. We express the beauty and care of Jesus when we show hospitality towards one another.

We are called to go from faith to faith and glory to glory. Transformation and growth start with a lifestyle of development. A desire to be all that God has said to be.
OUR UNIQUE CHARACTERISTICS
We feel called to be an apostolic house
God has place an Apostolic Mandate on Word X Spirit. We want to raise up spiritual sons and daughters to catalyze a new generation of revivalists. We also feel a call to reform and establish a model of church, and that Chattanooga would be a retreat for other ministers and ministries.
We carry a ministry of impartation
We believe God has equipped us with a ministry of the laying on of hands for a conduit of the transfer of anointing. It’s fruit we have seen through out our ministry since we experienced the power of God. (Romans 1:11)
We have a global worldview
We see God moving through the whole earth. We have specific callings, in addition to the work in Chattanooga, to reach the several regions in England & Scotland. We are believing for the day to establish Word and Spirit Churches across the pond.
We gather around the table
We are foodies at Word and Spirit Church, and value the gathering of the saints around the table. This engages several of our church values, and its actually how part of our church was established.
STANDARDS OF LEADERSHIP
1. Relational leadership over Positional leadership
We expect our leadership to flow inside out, and not rely on position for their leadership to be expressed. The team commit’s to serving our church family on deep relational levels.
3. Unity that flows from Honor
Division and strife is the devils work. God says in his word that He has a special blessing reserved for unity. We uphold a culture of honor and respect within our leadership team
5. Engage Beauty
Things in church can seem and be so objective based and often militant, that we forget to enjoy this life and each other. From gathering regularly around the table as a team, we expect our team to engage rhythms of sabbath and rest before the lord and each other!
2. People of Encounter
Our team always presses into the more of the Holy Spirit. We expect our team to pursue daily encounters with the Lord and his word. This pursuit keeps our team from burnout and keeps their heart in sync with the Lord.
4. Tithe
One standard of leadership within our leadership team is tithing. The best way to take ownership in what God is doing in the church is through partnering with giving. This isn’t designed to be a yoke of bondage but an invitation into a life of generosity.
